Courchevel
Ski Resort in France
Courchevel is arguably the best of the 6 resorts that make up the three valleys region. It is one of the most glamorous and famous resorts in the whole of the Alps for that matter.
Courchevel is actually made up of 4 separate villages: Couchevel 1850, 1650, 1550 and 1300 (Le Praz).
1850 is perhaps the trendiest of villages and is the best for nights out. Some bars and restaurants are expensive yet it does boast some famous Michelin star restaurants. (There are 4 with 2 Michelin stars and 1 with 1 Michelin star).
1650 is also a fashionable village with the number of après ski bars increasing steadily over the past few years.
1550 and 1300 (Le Praz) are alot quieter than the higher villages, giving much more of a relaxed environment for a lovely evening out.
The slopes of Courchevel are very extensive and connect well to the vast area of the 3 valleys enabling great skiing for all abilities. Being the biggest linked ski area in the world, of course there is something for everyone! There are excellent nursery slopes at1650 as well as 1850 so beginners can develop well. Further afield takes you throughout the three valleys network where certain areas challenge even the most advanced skier.
