Off piste is marked and patrolled to check for avalanches, creating large, safe areas for skiers to explore. On the slopes grooming is taken very seriously, you will be greeted by immaculate quiet slopes in the morning. All this work means that lift passes are expensive; buying your ticket in advance can save huge amounts.
